The sigils are actually very straight forward, they are used to acuire knowledge.
You use it by combining the mental clarity and either the Earthly/Spiritual Wisdom sigil, depending on what knowledge you are seeking. Keep the sigils with you as you ponder a question and sit back for the answer, it might not come immediately but will reveal itself in due time.
